This module will also explore:
-
The Bandhas and their health benefits (e.g., prevention of incontinence, enhance metabolic function, etc.)
-
Anatomy of Breath (what is the normal/natural breath function) Ujjayi, viloma, bhastrika, kapalabhati and nadi shodhana
-
Pranayama for pacification of each dosha and sattvic direction for optimal breathing function
-
Active and Restorative asana to enhance breath and prepare the pranic field

Yoga Kurunta: Integrating Ropes into Yogāsana
with Josephine Vittoria
Explore Yoga Kurunta, the art of practicing yoga with wall ropes, developed by B.K.S Iyengar. This program guides teachers on applying rope techniques safely in their classes, while also welcoming dedicated students with at least one year of consistent practice to join for personal study and exploration.

The ropes warm up the body, limber the shoulders, hips, and hamstrings, and allow greater depth of movement. They provide stability in challenging poses, enhance alignment awareness, and help hold poses longer with ease. Yoga Kurunta prepares students for deeper asana, supports the sacrum in backbends, and allows safe inversions that lengthen the spine, use gravity for traction, and calm the mind.
If you are a teacher, offer your students the ability to adapt, explore, and deepen their yogāsana practice in a fun, creative and safe way.

Yoga: A Way of Life & Philosophy in Motion
with Amrita Choudhury
Yoga is not merely a physical practice; it is a way of life, a profound philosophy that invites us to live with greater awareness, presence, and alignment. The true essence of yoga lies in embodying its timeless wisdom, allowing the philosophy to guide and inform both our personal lives, our practice and our teaching.

In the first part of this course, students explored the origins and roots of yoga. They were introduced to Vedantic Philosophy and the four main paths of yoga.
In this second part of this course, and central to this study is The Bhagavad Gita, a timeless spiritual text that brings together these paths and philosophies, offering practical wisdom for living a life of purpose, alignment, and inner peace.
Through study, reflection, and lived experience, students will begin to integrate yogic philosophy into their own lives, bringing harmony between thought, action, and being.
